Putting Talent Management at Your Fingertips:
TMP Helps Create Consortium for Government Leaders

Imagine having a single go-to resource for all things talent management on your desktop or mobile device: In seconds, you can find best and next practices and cutting-edge research as well as tools designed to improve recruiting, employee engagement, retention and performance management. Through a new consortium, TMP Government is helping make that resource available to you now at no cost.

We have joined with the Center for Human Capital Innovation (CHCI) and four leading companies to create the Talent in Management Group, a consortium committed to assisting you in tackling your "people management" challenges. As government faces a proverbial "perfect storm" of mounting crises encountering waves of retirements, the Group is focusing on “Return on Investment” techniques that help government offer better services with fewer staff. In addition, as the exclusive recruitment and retention advisor to the consortium, TMP Government is supplying information about building a ready and resilient workforce to confront the many issues confronting America and the world.

"We are thrilled to have TMP Government as part of the consortium. TMP's work with government agencies and departments on recruiting, employer branding and career management is unparalleled," says Allan Schweyer, a principal at the not-for-profit Center for Human Capital Innovation and author of the highly praised Talent Management Systems: Best Practices in Technology Solutions for Recruitment, Retention and Workforce Planning (Wiley & Sons: 2004 and 2009).

Schweyer, who guided the formation of the consortium, adds, "The visually stunning presentation of complex ideas and powerful tools is a hallmark of TMP Government's work. Their attention to end users' needs is vital to successful government initiatives."

Lindsay Wozniak, Senior Vice President, TMP Government, sees consortium in the Talent in Management Group as a logical extension of the company's commitment to government.

"We are pleased to join with think tank and educator CHCI and select distinguished firms to establish a way to deliver information to those who need it when they need it,” says Wozniak. “Information continues to mount, while government managers have increased immediate demands. The Talent in Management Group can keep up with new and proven information, quickly making it accessible.

To that end, in late February, the Group launched TMgov.org, an online community, which is already among the largest resources for talent management in government on the Web, and growing by more than 100 articles, presentations, papers, videos, podcasts and blog postings each day. According to CHCI, TMGov.org is destined to become “the leading online resource for government talent management."

In addition to downloading tools, methods and techniques, members of the community can calculate the cost of employee disengagement in their organization, subscribe to a free online magazine entitled Leadership Excellence in Government and register for webcasts.

In addition to TMP Government, the consortium includes the following organizations:
